By reading the book DIY solar and watching tons and tons of videos, these are the basic parts of the bike I knew I needed: solar panels, MPPT (regulates energy to the battery), battery, controller, motor, and tons and tons of wires. I also needed a trailer to carry the solar panels and a bicycle (duh).
